Plaited bowl "isiquabetho", approx. 35 cm diameter

This pretty plaited bowl is artfully made of plaited Ilala palms. It is plaited a little roundly just as it has been done traditionally and persuades by an artful multi-colourful patterns.

A real traditional basket bowl from South Africa for your home

Traditionally the bigger bowls of the tribe of Zulu were used to care around cereals.  The smaller "isiquabethos" are used to serve dry dishes just as beans, fruits or nuts. As table decoration - or even to storage as in the traditional way of the Zulu - the Zulu bowl does a great job.

Every basket work bowl is unique - you get exactly the container you see
